Research Essay Three Stories Essays Research Essay Three Stories Essay Research Essay Three Stories Essay The three short stories that Iââ¬â¢ve read ââ¬Å"Hills Like White Elephantsâ⬠ââ¬Å"Black Man And White Woman in a Dark Green Boatâ⬠and ââ¬Å"Good Peopleâ⬠were all captivating stories. All three stories where written by different authors. The short stories all dealt with various life situation the anyone could relate to and understand. The short story ââ¬Å"Hills Like White Elephantsâ⬠, written by: Ernest Hemingway is cast in a bar setting. This story is also written in third person and the writing style can almost be converted into a play. I believe the author did a great job painting to picture of for his audience, but to me it lacked real substance. Especially when being compared to ââ¬Å"Black Man and White Woman in a Dark Green Boatâ⬠and ââ¬Å"Good Peopleâ⬠. This story is set in a trailer park in Northern New England near the beach. The symbolism thatââ¬â¢s use to clue you in to what this story is about is the title itself ââ¬Å"Black Man and White Woman in Dark Green Row Boatâ⬠. The author intentionally describes the gender and nationality of the characters in the title which helps guide the reader to the main topic of the story. Also there are lines such as (ââ¬Å"Actually, mother was a lot better than I expected her to be. If Daddy were alive it would be dif
